Job Summary
Supervise nursing staff, including team leaders, nursing assistants, and trainees during assigned shifts. Ensure resident care plans are implemented, updated, and followed appropriately while conducting assessments and monitoring condition changes. Oversee medication administration, treatments, documentation, and nursing services, addressing concerns from residents, families, and staff. Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling adjustments, and overtime authorization as needed. Respond to emergencies, safety concerns, incidents, and facility operational issues. Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives. Schedule Saturdays and Sundays, 7 am-7:30 pm, at $36-38/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of RN experience in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution abilities
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control practices, and resident rights
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
