Job Summary
RN Supervisor coordinates and organizes nursing resources across hospital units, collaborating with RNs, NAs, and Sitters to meet patient care needs. Responsible for crisis management, policy interpretation, and ensuring timely communication between individuals and departments. Represents leadership across venues on a 24-hour basis and makes decisions on behalf of the leadership team. Works within a diverse team in a Magnet-designated hospital setting with opportunities to guide nursing staff and participate in governance activities (e.g., Shared Governance Council). Requires leadership capability, clinical expertise, and strong interdepartmental coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required.
- Three years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required.
- One year of relevant formal nursing leadership experience required for external applicants
- One year of relevant demonstrated informal leadership experience required for internal applicants
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
Desired Qualifications
- MSN preferred
- Master's degree in nursing (MSN) preferred
- Nursing leadership experience
- Charge Nurse responsibilities
