Job Summary
Supervise nursing staff during overnight operations and ensure high-quality resident care while maintaining regulatory compliance. Provide clinical leadership to nurses and CNAs, responding to resident concerns, admissions, transfers, and emergencies. Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams, and complete required documentation accurately and timely in accordance with New York State and facility policies. This full-time contract role runs 11:00 PM–7:00 AM with every other weekends required, offering a $70/hour rate at a rare 200-bed Brooklyn facility. Candidates may transition to a permanent position if a mutual fit exists.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 1 year of RN Supervisor experience while working through a staffing agency
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to begin work immediately
- Active NY RN License
- Government-issued photo ID
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Physical and health clearance
- TB screening/testing
- MMR, Varicella, and other required immunization documentation
- COVID documentation if required by facility
- Any additional documentation required for employment in a New York skilled nursing facility
