Job Summary
RN Supervisor for the Mobile Crisis Outreach Program provides hands-on coaching, direction, and supervision to staff within the Mobile Crisis Response Program, collaborating with RUHS and local emergency partners. The role leads crisis-response activities, oversees implementation of best practices, handles administrative supervision, serves as on-call supervisor, and represents the program to external stakeholders and community resources. Responsibilities include crisis stabilization, safety planning, risk assessment (danger to self/others), and, when needed, facilitation of 5150 holds; maintains liaison with dispatch centers, police, hospitals, and ambulance providers; requires strong supervisory, teaching, communication, and de-escalation skills, and the ability to drive as part of crisis intervention teams.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- 2 years of field crisis management preferred
- Must be LPS certified or LPS eligible
- Advanced LPS knowledge of best practices
- Excellent consumer de-escalation skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Creativity, flexibility, time management, and organizational skills
- Must have the ability to manage and work through conflict in a calm manner
- Ability to be an effective listener
- Maintains all required licenses and certifications
- Driving is an essential function of this position; valid California driver’s license required
- Acceptable driving record as determined by Agency policy
- Proof of auto insurance meeting minimum coverage requirements
