Job Summary
Assist in the provision of supplemental nursing staff to in-patient and other areas while working with departments to ensure appropriate and timely patient placement. Support staff in obtaining needed supplies and equipment, and utilize the chain of command to address departmental or facility issues. Respond to emergencies on the campus and implement emergency plans for the facility. Interact with patients, families, staff, and physicians to ensure prompt resolution of concerns and support the hospital mission, vision, and goals. Medical City Dallas is an 895+ bed tertiary care center with over 1,500 physicians and 400+ in-house specialists.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- BSN
- Two years general duty staff
- Two years management (Manager or Unit Supervisor)
- Some specialty area experience (ICU,-3 years exp, etc.)
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Current AHA or ARC BLS Provider
- AHA or ARC ACLS required within 12 months of hire
- AHA or ARC PALS required within 90 days of hire or no later than January 1st, 2024 for current employees
- CPI required within 30 days of hire
