RN Supervisor, Home Health - Las Vegas, NV

Job Summary

Oversee a caseload of 100-175 home care patients by providing direct supervision to clinical staff including RNs, LPNs, MSWs, and HHAs. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations through ongoing performance evaluations, annual supervisor visits, and routine case conferences. Coordinate patient care documentation and manage complex situations via multidisciplinary case conferences and field supervision. Manage staffing for day, evening, weekends, and holidays while participating in agency on-call rotation for weekend, night, and holiday coverage. Conduct clinical field supervision monitoring attendance, productivity, overtime, and cost per visit to ensure Agency standards. Interview, select, and retain qualified staff while participating in orientation and in-service education programs. Formulate and evaluate policies, procedures, and strategic goals. Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Nursing.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Registered Nurse with active unrestricted license in the State of Nevada and a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
  • Current CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • 2+ years of experience in Home Health patient care setting, providing direct patient care
  • 1+ years of performance management with supervisory experience
  • Experience working with an electronic medical record application
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of current nursing practice, professional standards of care, and state & federal regulations regarding home care
  • Basic PC skills to include Windows, Outlook or other email system
  • High level of critical thinking skills to analyze multiple sources of information to formulate logical conclusions and actions
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize and direct the work of others and communicate objectives clearly
  • Proven excellent observation skills, verbal & written communication skills, attention to detail and demonstrated competence in core leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully utilize clinical information systems for operation and performance management functions
  • Valid Nevada driver's license and maintain personal auto insurance coverage
  • Must be available for weekend, night, and holiday coverage
  • Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
