Job Summary
The RN Nursing Supervisor leads nursing staff, oversees daily operations, coordinates patient care activities, mentors and trains nursing personnel, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards to maintain resident safety and quality of care. Responsibilities include supervising staff, monitoring care standards, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, conducting performance evaluations, managing staffing and schedules, contributing to quality assurance and policy development, and maintaining accurate documentation and reporting. Requires RN licensure in MD, a BSN preferred, 2–5 years of nursing experience with LTC or supervisory background, and current BLS certification. Shift is evenings (3:00–11:30 PM) with every-other-weekend coverage; compensation includes shift differentials and potential bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program required
- A bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing
- Minimum of 2–5 years of nursing experience, with long-term care or supervisory experience preferred
- Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required
- Knowledge of Maryland nursing regulations and CMS long-term care requirements
