Job Summary
Oversee daily medical department operations in an opioid treatment program, including planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient needs. Administer methadone as prescribed, collect urine specimens, and maintain medication inventory and dosing records. Manage lab operations and supervise nursing and lab staff where applicable. Coordinate care with physicians and community providers while conducting internal program reviews and audits. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and report workplace issues. Develop medical department schedules and participate in staff and community meetings. Requires a valid RN license, one year of substance abuse treatment experience, and advanced knowledge of medication-assisted treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN nursing license in the state of employment
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Minimum of one year of experience in substance abuse treatment and administration
- Advanced knowledge of medication-assisted treatment
- Leadership, supervisory, and teaching skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in basic computing and office equipment
- Prolonged sitting, bending, stooping, and stretching
- Variable workload and high stress at times
- Standard medical office environment
- Interaction with patients who may be ill, have infectious diseases, or mental health diagnoses
- Keyboarding for extended periods
