Job Summary
RN - Labor and Delivery at Medical City Dallas requires providing consistent, safe, high-quality care for laboring patients from admission to post-delivery, with knowledge of vaginal and C-section births, fetal monitoring, anesthesia-related care, PACU period, and newborn care in the first two hours of life; includes on-call participation and L&D-specific expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Must be an RN (Registered Nurse) in the State of Texas - compact or multi-state license accepted
- Associate Degree is required - BSN required within 24 months of hire/transfer into RN position
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years recent experience as an RN in Women Services (L&D, Mother Baby, Antepartum)
- Must have demonstrated ability to care for women of childbearing age and infants up to four (4) years old)
- Participates in an on-call schedule
- Must have L&D experience
