Job Summary
Provide accountable, expert nursing care for laboring patients from admission through post-delivery, including vaginal and C-section births, fetal monitoring, and anesthesia support; manage PACU period and initial newborn care (first two hours of life).Qualifications include Texas RN license (compact/multi-state accepted), Associate Degree with BSN within 24 months, 3+ years in Women Services (L&D, Mother Baby, Antepartum), and required ACLS/Fetal Monitoring/BLS/Neonatal Resuscitation certifications within specified timelines; on-call availability. This is a full-time RN role in Women Services with on-call duties and hospital-based responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an (RN) Registered Nurse in the State of Texas - compact or multi state license is accepted
- Associate Degree is required - BSN required within 24 months of hire/transfer into RN position
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years recent experience as an RN in Women Services in a hospital environment...L&D, Mother Baby, Antepartum
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Must have L&D experience
- Able to care for women of childbearing age and infants up to four (4) years old
- Participates in an on-call schedule
