Job Summary
Perform nursing care according to established standards, individualizing delivery based on care plans and physician orders. Function as shift Charge Nurse to oversee care delivery and completion of tasks by RNs, LPNs, and GNAs. Conduct resident/patient assessments upon admission, perform clinical rounds to ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and administer medications and treatments per regulations. Maintain clinical records, transcribe physicians' orders, receive reports from off-going shifts, and provide reports to oncoming shifts during walking rounds. Complete documentation for admissions, transfers, and discharges. Requires active Maryland RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of long-term care facility experience. Full-time evening shift from 3 pm to 11:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited RN Nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure without disciplinary infractions by Maryland Board of Nursing
- Current BLS certification
- At least 1 year of prior continual experience with the same long-term care facility
- One year of recent Medical-Surgical experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Nursing
- 2 or more years of service
- IV insertion skills
- One year of recent Medical-Surgical experience (for assignments other than Baker Rehab)
