Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in a Telemetry/Stepdown unit, following the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and ensuring safe, high-quality care. Manage cardiac monitoring, respond quickly to changes in patient condition, and communicate with physicians about clinical status. Lead patient/family education and support other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in a telemetry-focused environment. Requires active RN license and BLS; ACLS is preferred/required depending on unit needs; 1–2 years of acute care experience is typical for this role.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent acute care experience (Stepdown, Telemetry, or ICU preferred)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred/required
