Job Summary
RN - Step Down ICU (SDICU) provides direct nursing care in a Step Down ICU, collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to promote and restore patients’ health. Uses the nursing process for data gathering, assessment, nursing judgement, intervention and evaluation, with emphasis on health teaching, patient and family support, documentation, and adherence to professional standards and the SC Nurse Practice Act. The role supports compassionate patient care, maintains confidentiality, and participates in quality/process improvement activities. The position is Full Time with AM/PM shifts and a $20,000 sign-on bonus; includes potential L&D-specific screening responsibilities for experienced candidates and adherence to regulatory requirements. Eligible candidates are licensed RNs in South Carolina and may pursue Nurse Residency as part of onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education: ADN, Diploma or Bachelors of Science in Nursing
- Current RN license to practice in the State of South Carolina
- Minimum Years of Experience: None
- L&D: RN with 2+ years in L&D experience may perform qualified medical screening examinations under EMTALA (if applicable)
