Job Summary
Provide coordinated clinical care for Laboring, Antenatal and Post-Partum (couplet) patients; supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, and Certified Nursing Assistants; apply nursing process to planning, implementing, evaluating patient care; comply with the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies; support department and hospital goals; maintain competencies in fetal monitoring and resuscitation training as required.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified Registered Nursing Program
- Current LA RN licensure
- BLS required on hire
- ALS and NRP preferred on hire, required within 3 months of hire
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring within 3 months of hire, renewed every two years
- ILCOR courses including manikin check off
