Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within your assigned department or unit, adhering to Legacy Health Standards and Scope of Practice. Collaborate with clinical managers, physicians, and support staff to create comprehensive care plans and ensure safety protocols, including patient assessment and transfer procedures. Deliver exceptional care to high-risk and low-risk deliveries, utilizing electronic health systems and maintaining current certifications in BLS, NRP, ACLS, and fetal monitoring. Requires one year of nursing experience, BSN preferred, and current state RN license. Join a team with 24/7 OB Hospitalist coverage, a robust residency program, and tuition discount support for BSN advancement.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program as required by licensure
  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is strongly preferred
  • At least one year of nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program (or equivalent program)
  • American Heart Association BLS required
  • American Heart Association NRP required
  • Current applicable state RN license required
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers
  • If recovering OB or Surgical patients, American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • STABLE within 6 months of hire
  • Advance Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of labor training
  • Ability to Scrub or scrub training within 6 months of hire (specific for Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital)

Desired Qualifications

  • For certain roles, a BSN is required. We also consider RNs without a BSN based on clinical experience and with approval from the Chief Nursing Officer
  • Preferred: Labor & Delivery experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to navigate and utilize electronic health systems
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities — because in this role, every day is different, and your expertise will make all the difference
  • May be hired with AHA/AAP Essential NRP, but must obtain Advanced NRP within 6 weeks or completion of orientation, whichever is longer
  • Travel nurses may continue to have Essential NRP if not performing in Charge, Neonatal Resuscitation, Baby, or NICU RN roles
