Job Summary
Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for elective, urgent, and emergent surgical cases across orthopedic, general surgery, gynecological, urology, ENT, vascular, plastics, neurosurgery, wound debridement, pain management, cath lab, and endoscopy. Participate as a member of the health care team under the direction of the clinical manager, with cross-training requirements to both inpatient and outpatient surgical areas. Maintain competency in these settings while taking call with a 45-minute response time in the outpatient setting. Requires holiday and weekend rotation with varied shift start times.
Required Qualifications
- Current applicable state RN license
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers
- One-year registered nursing experience
- Completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration
- Ability to take call, with a 45-minute response, in the outpatient setting
- Holiday and weekend rotation
- Varied shift start times
- Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions
Desired Qualifications
- BSN or degree in progress
- Acute care experience with surgical/post procedural background
- Pediatric background
