Job Summary
Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises within the Psychiatric Emergency Services unit. Collaborate with the health care team under clinical manager direction to provide 24/7 nursing, care management, and provider coverage while executing specialized assessments, de-escalation, and motivational interviewing techniques. Manage acute stabilization for highly acute patients and attend to physical health needs including wound care and phlebotomy. Requires current state RN license, BLS certification, and one year of nursing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current applicable state RN license
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers
- One-year registered nursing experience
- Completion of Legacy Health RN Residency program
- Completion of a nursing program equivalent in content, curriculum and duration
Desired Qualifications
- BSN or degree in progress
- Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions
