RN Staff Nurse II - Pediatrics Ambulatory Care

Job Summary
Perform patient assessments and document biophysical, psychosocial, and developmental data to coordinate care in outpatient pediatric clinics. Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient status while providing education on disease processes and symptom management. Maintain medical records, consult with the health care team to adjust care processes, and manage supplies cost-effectively. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and prescription refills. Participate in quality improvement activities and professional contributions such as presentations, mentorships, and committee work. This weekday, daytime role supports WashU's Department of Pediatrics in a normal office environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree In Nursing Or Diploma In Registered Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Completion of National Specialty Certification relevant to the area where working, if applicable
- Current Missouri RN licensure in accordance with Compact Act
- Basic Life Support certification
- Advanced clinical skills (e.g., PALS, ACLS, IV Certification, Bone Marrow Biopsy)
- Clinical Specialty (2 Years)
- A driver's license is not required for this position
