Job Summary
Provide patient care within the 29-bed emergency department, functioning as a member of the health care team under the direction of the clinical manager. Perform all aspects of the nursing process, including assessing, analyzing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for both adults and pediatric patients. Adhere to relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse and follow established patient care standards set by Legacy Health System, including protocols for patient assessment and transfer. Maintain current applicable state RN license and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Current applicable state RN license
- BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
- One-year registered nursing experience
- Completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration
Desired Qualifications
- BSN or degree in progress
- BSN
- Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions
