Job Summary
Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for infants, children, and teens within the Emergency Department following established Legacy Health standards. Participate as a member of the health care team in cooperation with the clinical manager or designee, ensuring safe and family-centered care. Demonstrate positive interpersonal communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, and physicians while navigating electronic systems. Requires current state RN license, AHA BLS certification, and one year of registered nursing experience, with pediatric ED experience strongly preferred. BSN or degree in progress is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current applicable state RN license
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers
- One-year registered nursing experience
- Completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration
Desired Qualifications
- BSN or degree in progress
- Pediatric ED experience
- Adult ED experience
- Strong Pediatric experience
- Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions
