Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care services for patients with a broad range of health conditions, including those on ventilators, with arterial lines, or requiring external pacing. Perform hemodynamic monitoring, calculate medication dosages, titrate potent medications, and interpret 12-lead EKGs and cardiac rhythms. Monitor life support equipment and provide care for balloon pump patients. Maintain skills and knowledge pertinent to intensive care practice and demonstrate competence in patient care after orientation. Requires Licensure by the Alabama State Board of Nursing, ACLS and PALS certification within one year of hire, and a minimum of one year RN experience. Located in Lake Guntersville, Alabama, serving the Marshall County community.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure by the Alabama State Board of Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of one year RN experience
- Successful completion of an ACLS and PALS course within one year of hire
Desired Qualifications
- After orientation demonstrates and maintains skills and knowledge pertinent to the practice and education of a Registered Nurse
- After orientation demonstrates competence of the care of the intensive care patient
