Job Summary
Assess patient needs and prioritize care plans through comprehensive assessment, planning, and delegation. Evaluate patient responses to interventions and track progress toward specific outcomes. Coordinate care with other professional disciplines as needed. Maintain current drivers license and automobile insurance while performing duties that require lifting, positioning, and transferring patients. Utilize computer-based clinical programs and office software to document care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Alabama or Multistate Nursing license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Current driver's license
- Automobile insurance
- Minimum of one year experience in nursing
- Ability to handle conflict
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Prioritizing and changing tasks frequently
- Ability to lift, position, and/or transfer patients
- Visual acuity
- Hearing
- Strong working knowledge of computer based clinical programs
- Office software
Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- Experience in hospice nursing
