Job Summary
Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame, providing care via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment. Supervises the activities of Respiratory Therapists, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Unit Assistants. Requires current LA RN licensure, BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications, with TNCC and NRP certifications required within one year of hire. CPI certification is required within six months. Scheduled weekly hours are 42, with a work shift from 7pm to 7am. Emergency Department experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program
- Associate Degree
- Current LA RN licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Current ALS certification
- Current PALS certification
- TNCC certification
- NRP certification
- CPI certification
- Basic computer skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Must possess good physical health
- Ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to work with a moderate level of noise
