Job Summary
Coordinate clinical activities for NICU patients by utilizing the nursing process to organize, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, and Certified Nursing Assistants while adhering to the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Support department and hospital goals, with staff required to float to PICU and Pediatrics as needed. Work 36 weekly hours on night shift.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program
- Current LA RN licensure
- Current BLS
- NRP
- PALS
- 1 year of level IV within the past 12 months or 2 years Level III NICU experience within the past 3 years
- Must possess good physical health
- Lifting at least 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of level IV within the past 12 months or 2 years Level III NICU experience within the past 3 years preferred
