Job Summary
Assess patient needs and priorities, plan and delegate care, and evaluate patient response to treatment in the Surgical trauma ICU/Step Down unit. Maintain established standards of care, policies, and goals while working independently in a fast-paced environment. Prioritize tasks frequently and ensure all equipment and materials required for procedures are available per the Nursing Service Procedure Manual. Obtain BLS during orientation and ACLS within six months. Requires current Alabama or Multistate nursing license and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Alabama or Multistate nursing license
- BLS for Healthcare Providers
- ACLS
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Prioritizing and changing tasks frequently
- Knowledge of all equipment and materials required for procedures described in the Nursing Service Procedure Manual
- Completion of Department specific competencies within the provisional period
