Job Summary
Conduct professional nursing care for patients in the Surgical Trauma ICU and Step Down units, prioritizing assessment, care planning, delegation, and outcome evaluation. Maintain established standards of care and policies while identifying patient needs and responding to care interventions. Work independently in a fast-paced environment requiring frequent task prioritization and knowledge of all equipment and materials for procedures. Obtain BLS during orientation and ACLS within six months, completing department-specific competencies within the provisional period.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Alabama or Multistate nursing license
- BLS for Healthcare Providers
- ACLS
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Prioritizing and changing tasks frequently
- Knowledge of all equipment and materials required for procedures described in the Nursing Service Procedure Manual
- Completion of Department specific competencies within the provisional period
