RN - Specialty Staff Nurse

Job Summary
Provide developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care while planning, monitoring, and accommodating specific patient needs according to established policies. Participate in ongoing quality assurance, maintain regulatory requirements, and assist in updating applicable procedures. Report to the Practice Manager/Supervisor and work under clinical guidance from physicians. Requires a current Virginia state RN license or Compact State license, with a BSN, MSN, or NP preferred. CPR training is required within 45 days of hire. Pediatric experience is preferred, along with 3-5 years of progressive clinical experience in the specialty.
Required Qualifications
- Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through the completion of an accredited School of Nursing
- CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certification in the area of expertise or BSN, MSN or NP preferred
- Technical and professional knowledge and skills unique to the business and/or clinical services provided, usually acquired through 3-5 years' progressive clinical experience in the related specialty preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
