Prepare patients and exam rooms for physician consultation, take medical history and vitals, conduct patient testing, monitor results, and assist physicians in special procedures including minor surgery. Follow up with patients by identifying their learning needs, providing test results and education on medications and treatment plans, and addressing questions promptly. Utilize EMR for charting, charging, order retrieval, and scheduling while accurately interpreting data from paper and electronic charts. Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff, especially during difficult situations, and participate in continuing education activities. Maintain current Ohio RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification, with EPIC experience preferred.
