Job Summary
RN - Specialty II in NICU working full-time night shifts at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital (Hollywood, FL). Provides direct patient care in a designated NICU specialty unit, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on assessments; delegates to ancillary staff; may precept students and new hires; coordinates across disciplines; requires a nursing accredited program and multiple certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS, etc.); one year of nursing experience preferred; eligibility for Florida RN license; various pediatric/oncology/chemotherapy if applicable; strong emphasis on patient and family-centered care, patient safety, critical thinking, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Hours are night shifts; includes complex clinical responsibilities and compliance with unit-specific credentialing timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited Nursing Program (Required)
- RN License (Florida)
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- NRP Certification
- ACLS (required for ICU/ED/PACU/Endo/Tele/OB/MHN)
- PALS (required for Pediatric areas)
- Fetal Monitoring Certification (per RN role)
- RN Fellowship/License requirements as applicable to NICU
- NICU-specific credentialing within 30 days if transitioning from non-NICU
