RN - Specialty II

Conduct patient care requiring critical thinking, decisive judgment, and effective communication in a stressful environment with minimal supervision. Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy under the ONCC provider certificate or APHON card, depending on the indication and setting. Maintain ACLS certification for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op, and Specialty Procedural areas; obtain PALS within 30 days for non-pediatric backgrounds entering pediatric units. Secure NRP certification for NICU staff within 30 days if transitioning from non-NICU backgrounds. Complete Fetal Monitoring certification prior to orientation for L&D RNs. Require one year of independent nursing practice for fellowship specialties.
