Job Summary
Provides direct patient care in a specialty unit per scope and standards of practice, including evaluating patient/family education needs, planning and delivering care to optimize outcomes, monitoring and documenting patient condition, delegating to ancillary staff, and collaborating across disciplines. May precept students and new hires and participate in cross-disciplinary coordination of care, including disposition and referrals. Requires ongoing credentials such as BLS, PALS, ACLS, chemotherapy-related certifications, and Florida RN licensure, with one year of nursing experience and adherence to a clinical ladder. Working conditions are defined with extensive safety and patient-care responsibilities, including high-stress environments and varied shifts with night requirements. Required Qualifications
- Accredited Nursing Program (Required)
- BLS American Heart Association (various BLS certifications)
- PALS Certification (AAP/APNH)
- ACLS Certification (required for specified units)
- RN License in Florida (Florida RN license)
- Nursing experience: 1 year (required)
- Oncology/chemotherapy credentialing requirements (APHON/NCN or equivalent)
- Fetal Monitoring certification or eligibility
- RN Fellowship prerequisites (if applicable)
