Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare team to provide care in a safe, healing environment; participates in discharge planning; delegates and coordinates duties of the healthcare team; provides learning opportunities for patients/families and team members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) - Preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in state of practice - Required
- CPR/BLS certification - Required
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS - Required
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS - Required
- Acute care facility experience - Preferred
