RN - Specialty CMPG Cardiology Main

Assist clinical staff with obtaining vital information, preparing patients for examinations and minor surgical procedures, and collecting blood samples for laboratory analysis. Administer vaccines and medications via oral, IM, SQ, or ID routes, while placing urinary catheters and IVs per protocol. Conduct telephone triage to provide and document advice for home care, and schedule referrals for specialists or outpatient visits. Complete requisitions for lab testing with appropriate CPT/ICD-9 coding, track follow-up appointments, and monitor disease status. Document all activities in the electronic health record using standardized workflows and supervise delegated duties to LPN and CMA staff. Maintain compliance with CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety guidelines while providing patient education using the Teach-back method.
