Job Summary
Deploy staff education within defined specialties to align with system initiatives, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based best practices. Deliver just-in-time training, elbow-side support, and coaching on clinical performance and documentation while optimizing frontline staff performance. Partner with subject matter experts and department leadership to identify educational needs, validate adoption of system programs, and provide feedback for clinical best practices and EHR optimization. Support specialty onboarding processes and represent the defined specialty on assigned hospital committees. This role requires RN licensure, BLS/ACLS certification, and proficiency in Electronic Health Records software. Located in Windsor, CA, this position supports Adventist Health's mission of inspiring health, wholeness, and hope across the West Coast.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records software
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Current Advanced Life Saving as appropriate for area of specialty
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Access to and understanding of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Three years of recent experience as a clinical nurse / area of specialty ie. perinatal, critical care, emergency, perioperative, or medical surgical
- Experience in education
- Certification in Specialty Area
