Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Push, pull, and lift 50 pounds on a regular basis while enduring prolonged standing and walking each shift. Grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties as required. Obtain and maintain a current RN license within the hiring state or through compact licensure. Hold Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or complete the course within 30 days of hire. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire

- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
