Job Summary
The Medical Oncology Office Registered Nurse (RN) prepares and assists physicians or advance practice providers in examining and treating patients. Responsibilities include patient assessment and triage, administering medications, performing phlebotomy, and providing follow-up care by arranging diagnostic testing and specialist appointments. The RN also ensures regulatory compliance, participates in quality assurance, and maintains the medical office environment. Candidates must hold an Associate of Science degree from an accredited nursing school and possess a valid Registered Nurse license in Indiana.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license, in good standing, in the state of Indiana by date of hire or transfer into the position
- Basic Life Safety (American Heart Association)
- Previous patient care experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- One (1) year previous medical office experience in the office specialty area
