Job Summary

Provide patient care in a fast-paced neurosurgery outpatient setting. Facilitate exceptional patient flow, prepare patients for physician visits by obtaining and documenting vital signs and health history in Allscripts, and perform clinical duties including injections (immunizations), medication administration, breathing treatments, dressings, suture removal, and education on spacers and nebulizers. Document and report patient information, conduct specimen collection and laboratory testing (finger sticks/venipuncture), assist with procedures, conduct triage, and support follow-up calls to families. Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR, ensure HIPAA/privacy/compliance, and collaborate with physicians to meet patient and family needs. Additional responsibilities include assisting with paperwork for visits and maintaining crash cart records.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program (required)
  • Active Kentucky Registered Nurse License or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
  • Minimum of two years’ clinical experience (required)
  • Experience in a physician’s office or hospital setting (required)
