Job Summary
Perform pre/post and procedural monitoring for oncology patients, documenting interventions and communicating patient conditions per standards of practice. Implement safety checklists and respond to life-threatening situations using established nursing protocols with decisive efficiency. Provide specialized nursing care to a complex patient population while evaluating learning needs and delivering patient and family education appropriate to age and culture. Maintain a safe environment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources within a fast-paced, high-stress setting. Requires proficient application of the nursing process, critical thinking, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of (RN) experience
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
