Job Summary
Perform pre/post and procedural monitoring, document interventions, and communicate patient conditions during specialized nursing services for complex patients. Monitor patient safety to optimize outcomes and maximize resources while responding to life-threatening situations with decisive judgment and composure. Evaluate learning needs and provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and condition. Work within scope of job with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, maintaining proficiency in the nursing process and adhering to organizational policies and standards of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of (RN) experience
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgement
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- 6 months of relevant special procedures experience
