Job Summary
RN Special Procedures nurse provides nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology, cardiac cath, endoscopy, and other invasive procedures. Responsibilities include prepping and monitoring patients, administering medications and moderate sedation, assisting physicians, documenting care, and responding to emergencies. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, supports patient and family education, and engages in ongoing professional development in a supportive, team-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- experience in interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization, and endoscopy preferred or relevant clinical exposure
- ability to administer medications and moderate sedation
- patient monitoring and safety
- documentation of care
- emergency response and critical thinking
- team collaboration and patient/family education
