Job Summary
RN SICU - The Registered Nurse provides patient-centered care in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, coordinating and delivering care through the nursing process in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, administering prescribed medications, assisting in procedures, monitoring vital signs and critical equipment (including ventilators and life-support systems), responding to emergencies (CPR/code team), ensuring infection control, educating patients and families, documenting care and outcomes, and participating in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
