Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate professional nursing care for hemodynamically unstable patients aged 15 and over requiring continuous medication infusions or intensive care. Provide quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader, incorporating patient-family centered principles and utilizing input for care planning and teaching strategies. Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 (or 1:1 based on acuity) for Level 1 and Level 2 trauma, neurosurgery, vascular, and stroke patients at Trenton Hospital. Document education and learning appropriately in health records while adhering to Corewell Health policies. Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications, with specialty certifications highly recommended within two years.
Required Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing
- Bachelors in Nursing
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role
- Must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
- MI Registered Nurse (RN)
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS)
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- within 6 months
- 1 year RN experience
- within 2 years
- Specialty Certification
- within 2 years
- Every other weekend
- MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement
Desired Qualifications
- Specialty Certification highly recommended
