Job Summary
RN Shift Coordinator provides nursing leadership to support unit operations, coordinating staffing and scheduling, and guiding staff to uphold evidence-based practices and patient safety. Responsibilities include staff coaching and counseling, rounding to enhance patient and family experience, conducting quality rounds to prevent HAIs, participating in retention and committee activities, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and leveraging electronic health records for accurate documentation. Requires ADN, KY RN license, and BLS; BSN preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration across care teams are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Active Kentucky Registered Nurse License or compact license (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accreditation by the American Heart Association (Required)
