RN Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner SANE

Evaluate patients presenting with violent assault complaints, including sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking. Obtain consent and patient history to formulate a care plan, then perform complete physical and forensic examinations for trauma assessment and evidence collection. Collaborate with ER physicians, law enforcement, victim advocates, and social service agencies to coordinate comprehensive medical and psychosocial treatment. Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and coworkers while documenting injuries with photographic evidence. Offer courtroom testimony regarding care and treatment provided.
