Job Summary
The Registered Nurse provides nursing services and medical/psychiatric care for individuals with developmental disabilities, acquired brain injuries, substance abuse issues, and behavioral challenges. Responsibilities include administering medications, collaborating with physicians to develop and implement service plans, reviewing and updating nursing-related care plans, maintaining accurate medical records, promoting health and wellness, and training or mentoring staff and families. The role requires coordinating with primary care physicians and specialists, participating in Individual Health Plan (IHP) or Plan of Care (POC) teams, and contributing to health care protocols for specific medical conditions. Additional duties may include light household tasks, transportation of individuals to activities/appointments, and participation in on-call coverage. Travel may be required. Education: graduate of an accredited RN program; Licensure: current state RN license; Certifications: CPR/First Aid.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current state RN License
- Current driver s license, car registration and auto insurance if providing transportation to individuals receiving services.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
