Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse at Menta Academy, you will oversee the health and well-being of students, provide first aid care, and administer medically prescribed services while maintaining student records for compliance. Key responsibilities include training staff on medication administration, documenting health data, instructing students in health education, and developing Individual Health Care plans for students. The role requires considerable knowledge of medical disorders, child development, public health, and related laws, along with effective coordination with health agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Current/Active IL Registered Nurse License
- Considerable knowledge of medical and mental health disorders and subsequent treatment
- Considerable knowledge of child growth and development
- Working knowledge of public health problems and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies
- Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting the delivery of school health services
- Some knowledge of the school organization and the community served
- Capacity to coordinate and facilitate services between the school, local health agency, and other community resources
