Job Summary
RN Runner role providing case management and supervision of nursing tasks within hospice/home health. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments (physical, psychosocial, spiritual, bereavement), coordinating referrals and resources (PT, OT, Home Health, Dietary, Pharmacy, Equipment), documenting at the time of events and visits, educating patients/families/caregivers, participating in care meetings and on-call rotations, following the patient’s individualized plan of care, delegating tasks to Hospice Aides/Homemakers, Volunteers, and LPNs/HHAs, ensuring safety and compliance with the plan of care, infection control, QAPI participation, and professional development. Location: Bakersfield, CA; VITAS program; RN license required; minimum 2 years hospice/home health/community health experience; EOE/AA M/F/D/V.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed as a R.N. in the state where the VITAS program is located.
