Job Summary
RN role in a 14-bed Acute Hospital and Emergency Department at Rock Lake Health District (Crystal City, Manitoba). The Registered Nurse applies the nursing process to support patients in achieving and maintaining optimum health within a people-centered approach. Requires active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba, BLS, ACLS, CTAS, TNCC certification, and adherence to professional standards and ethics. The position emphasizes independent judgment in prioritizing work, collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment, leadership, and bilingual communication. Work arrangement is in-person with nights and weekend shifts; 8.25-hour daily shifts; MNU pay scale considerations; Indigenous-recruitment encouragement. Salary referenced per MNU pay scale; start date 06/25/2026; part-time FTE 0.65. Applicants may need criminal record and vulnerable sector checks; three references requested.
Required Qualifications
- Current active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba and the scope of practice as defined by the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) certification
- Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC) certification
- Knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
- Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative interdisciplinary environment that support quality services, quality improvement and staff empowerment
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to use an analytical and inquiring approach to problem-solving while contributing to program improvement
- Demonstrated ability to lead and make decisions autonomously
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility to meet the demands of the position
- Able to effectively perform the tasks and responsibilities of the position
- Demonstrate ongoing professional growth and competency relevant to practice area
