RN - Respiratory Med/Surg

Assess patient status through interview, observation, and physical assessment to develop individualized plans of care using a collaborative approach. Utilize evidence-based practice, protocols, and procedures to achieve expected outcomes while systematically evaluating and documenting progress throughout the shift. Modify care plans based on evaluation or changes in patient condition, troubleshoot equipment issues, and perform bedside lab testing with quality control. Coordinate interdisciplinary care by collaborating with team members, delegating tasks appropriately, and providing goal-focused shift reports. Advocate for patients with physicians, adapt teaching strategies based on patient needs and comprehension, and participate in performance improvement initiatives, data collection, and unit councils.
