Job Summary
RN Resource Specialist in Surgical Services: coordinate on-site evaluation of policies, procedures, and practices with local and regional Nursing leadership; oversee sterile processing and high-level disinfection related to operating/procedural room equipment; audit quality assurance programs and regulatory compliance; summarize reporting of results and develop recommendations; assist in training and analyzing work processes to improve outcomes; support development and modification of electronic medical record usage for nursing practice and education; regional travel may be required; TN sponsorship available with state licensure and VisaScreen-equivalent certification; requires RN licensure and nursing program graduation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a nursing program
- Current RN license by applicable state requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred
- Associate degree with five years' practice specific experience preferred or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from ACEN or CCNE accredited program with 2 years of practice specific experience preferred
- At least 1 year of formal or informal leadership experience, including involvement in committees preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in quality improvement initiatives, including report preparation and formulating recommendations preferred
- Program management or project coordination experience
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and experience with research processes
- Valid Driver's License
- Operating room or procedural based RN experience preferred
